The sessions are derivatives and versions of first team sessions utilised with champions league and premier league winning footballers and individual practices of some of the world’s greatest players. 

  • Train with experienced coaches who bring expertise from local and international football cultures.
  • Participate in both solo and group drills that replicate real-game scenarios.

FIELD TOPICS

Warm Ups:  The generic purpose of a warm up is to energise both physical and psychological systems ready for game play or training. The MP Coaching team will help you think about and design your warm ups to maximise training sessions and match performance.
Defensive Play: How do individuals and units achieve cohesive understanding of how to defend, what to defend, where to defend and why.

Defensive Play:  The link between re starts in possession and controlling a game through multiple styles of play.

Midfield play: The role and responsibilities of a midfield player and midfield units and how to go about being the complete positional specialist.

Attacking play:  Creating goalscoring opportunities and entering the final third working with 7, 9 or 11 a side systems.

Goalscoring: Finishing sessions are an excuse for poorly executed goalscoring training. The art of not missing and the reality of deliberate practice for goal scorers.

Elite Technical Training: The mastery of the fine detail in handling, passing and receiving the ball

Games for pressured development. Using small sided games to take learning and development into live and pressured environments. 

CLASSROOM TOPICS

Thinking like an elite player:  How will my knowledge of football benefit my on field performance.

Performance analysis: Using self reflection and past game or training footage and data to facilitate progression, development and improved performance. 

Inside Professional Sport:  The wider opportunities for the modern school, college or university player in the fields of science, data, performance analytics, technology, nutrition, psychology and sport science.
Generation Z / Generation Alpha: Modern technology, digital natives and how todays generation consume information and how this can be facilitative for sports performance and athletic development.


Classroom sessions are all taken from academically robust practices being utilised in elite sports operations on a daily basis. These sessions will be contextualized to the learners and will advance knowledge and efficiency of both players and coaches alike.
